Our Symbol: The Ryse Orchid
The Ryse Orchid is not a flourish.
It is a symbol of national pride, academic balance, and rising potential - a star in bloom, rooted in Singapore, seen across the world.
It reminds every Ryse student:
Your voice matters. Your ascent is just beginning.

Why Families Choose Ryse
Deep Mentorship
We offer one-on-one guidance that sharpens each student’s academic path, voice, and personal journey.
Authentic Branding
We help students uncover and express who they are, not who a template expects them to be.
Strategic Growth
We combine academic excellence, confident communication, and leadership identity into every step forward.

Our Beliefs

Knowledge,
Made Strategic
Excellence is not random. We plan every step with precision and purpose.

Confidence,
Coached with Care
Presence is not an accident. It is taught, refined, and earned.

Purpose,
Lived Every Step
Education is not a checklist. It is a preparation for a life of impact.
Why Ryse Exists
Ryse was born from a simple truth: even the brightest students were often unprepared to present who they truly were.
Not because they lacked talent — but because they lacked the strategy, self-awareness, and communication mastery to fully rise.
Dr. Reginald Thio, scientist, educator, and admissions expert, saw this gap firsthand — and built Ryse to fill it with care, craft, and conviction.
Today, every Ryse student is guided with the depth and personal commitment once reserved only for top scholars — ensuring that talent does not go unseen, unheard, or unfulfilled.
His experience, from Singapore’s academic rigor to global innovation hubs, shapes Ryse’s distinct blend of strategy, mentorship, and authentic leadership development.

Reginald was admitted to nine of the world’s top universities for his undergraduate studies, including Johns Hopkins, Imperial College London, and UCL after excelling in his A-levels with six distinctions. His academic journey continued in the United States, where he earned a U.S. patent for environmental innovation and published research featured in Nature Physics.
Beyond the lab and lecture hall, Reginald served on admissions and scholarship panels in Singapore’s university system and mentored hundreds of students toward elite global placements. He is a judge for the Singapore Engineering Innovation Challenge and an advocate for ethical, student-centred admissions guidance.
At Ryse, Reginald blends academic rigour with a mentorship heart, shaping students who rise not only in results, but in voice, clarity, and purpose.
About Us
Our Purpose
In a competitive world where perfect grades are the baseline, Ryse was founded to unlock the true differentiators:
Clarity of thought. Strength of voice. Purposeful leadership.
We guide ambitious students through elite school and university admissions, transforming academic ability into articulate presence, strategic distinction, and lifelong confidence.

The Scholar’s Ascent Begins Here.
At Ryse, we don’t just prepare students for admissions. We prepare them to lead, to speak, and to shine, wherever their ambitions take them.
